Live Oak Sound Recorders
Music Production & Recording

If commercials are the backbone of my business, music is the heart. In 1979 I opend my first studio with the three best partners ever to be had. Steve Peppos: engineer, musician, writer, producer extraordinaire. Bob Page, guitar phenom, writer, producer. Scott Chance, classical composer, conductor, writer, producer. And me, engineer. In their honor I still call my music recording Live Oak Sound Recorders. I appreciated their talent then, looking back, I'm in awe of it.

Some current projects:

Steve Quintilian

Right On Gilroy

I met Steve when he was part of Scotfree. When He later contacted me about doing some recording, I jumped at the chance and we began an ongoing project to record music that we liked. He is a master guitarist and songwriter and you will find parts of his wide ranging musical interest here.

Right On Gilroy

Right On Gilroy

This is the Youth Worship Band from my church from several years ago. I know from experience that a complete group like this doesn't come along every year, but it's encouraging to see the youth grow up and take their place. These kids were in High School at the time of this recording and I thank them for their freindship and the things they taught me. The name of the album refers to the directions they gave to friends to come join them at the church youth center.

Scotfree

Scotfree

Scotfree began as the core band from the worship team at my church. They were my "return to music" experiment, and I thank them for reminding me how rewarding it can be. We recorded the first three songs on my laptop at BH Audio in Towson in overnight sessions. After some time off, You In Mind was recorded on my laptop at a live concert. We then proceeded to replace every track with a studio track, although you can still hear the original guitar in the intro. The remaining songs were recorded at my home studio, after the group assisted in fixing up a room to record in. Proper Sacrifice was unfinished, and is presented here in with that in mind.

The Company

the Company

the Company was a band from Dulaney High School in Baltimore County. I knew two of the members through church and when I was approached to do this project, I readily accepted. Three songs from extraordinarily talented young men.
